Sightseeing

Grandfather Mountain
More than just a mountain with phenomenal views, grandfather mountain is a must visit for anyone wishing to experience the high countries' natural wonders. Whether walking across their mile-high swinging bridge, hiking the profile trail, or getting up close to bears and mountain lions in their environmental enclosures, Grandfather Mountain has something for everyone.

Tweetsie Railroad
Tweetsie railroad is a must see for any family with young children visiting the high-country. Take a ride on the famed Tweetsie railroad where you will encounter cowboys, indians, and maybe even a train robber or two. Your day of adventure is not complete unless you stroll down Western Main Street, spin on the rides of their country fair, or mine for gems at Miner's Mountain.

Scream Time Zip Lines
An increasingly popular tourist attraction, Zipline offers canopy tours of the high-country. You will be sure to get a thrill while you glide through the mountains on this ecology based adventure. All tours are headed by a EBL certified guide.

Blue Ridge Parkway
